July 19, 2025December 6, 2025 Peacock Bowl by Leigh-Ann Naus Leigh-Ann Naus This beautiful Plainsman M340 clay bowl by Leigh-Ann Naus showcases her very first attempt at the “peacock technique,” a glazing method that results in a striking, feather-like pattern radiating from the center. It features a blend of Spectrum’s Texture Topaz, Pearl White, and Floating Nori Green dots, all layered on Plainsman M340 clay and fired at Cone 6. Although Leigh-Ann has since created many more complex and colorful pieces using this technique, this particular piece remains deeply sentimental, as she fondly recalls discovering it on the top shelf of her kiln.
