Stroke & Coat over Honey Flux by Motyl Ceramics

Wild colors Mugs by Motyl Ceramics

Applying Stroke & Coat over Honey Flux is a beautifully creative glazing technique that produces rich, fluid, and dynamic effects. As a flowing base glaze, Honey Flux melts and moves during firing, causing the Stroke & Coat—typically a stable glaze—to shift, break, and blend in unexpected ways. The result is a soft, watercolor-like surface with vibrant color transitions and added visual depth.

For the best results, fire to cone 5–6, where the movement and interaction between the glazes are most pronounced. Keep in mind that Honey Flux tends to run, especially on vertical surfaces, so apply it lightly near the bottom of your piece to avoid excessive drippin
