Celadon Test Tiles Cone 6

This project was created by Michelle L Kendrick.
She worked with AMACO Brent Celadon glazes, Series C, focusing on how well they mix together to form new shades. For these tests she used Tangelo, Marigold, Snow, Mixing Clear, Acqua, Rainforest, and Cobalt, blending them in different ratios to see how each color shifts, softens, or deepens when combined.

The test tiles act almost like a ceramic color wheel — showing each glaze on its own, plus the smooth transitions where two meet. It’s a practical way to explore the full range these celadons can produce at cone 6 on porcelain, and the results offer a nice palette of subtle but distinct tones for future work.
