November 27, 2025December 15, 2025 Orange Frozen Pond by Natasha Cloutier Ramsey Running Hot Chowder over Tangelo This striking orange frozen pond mug by Natasha Ramsey is fired to cone 6 with a five-minute hold, creating smooth glaze movement and rich color transitions. The inside is lined with AMACO Tangelo, while the outside features three layers of Tangelo topped with dotted layers of Spectrum Running Hot Chowder. She then added smaller dots of Mayco Stroke & Coat Hot Tamale and finished the piece with a full coat of AMACO Blue Rutile, which runs beautifully over the surface and blends into flowing streaks of orange, purple, and blue. Placed on stilts for firing (runnny!) , the mug develops dramatic vertical runs reminiscent of a glowing, frozen waterfall—an effect that makes this piece both vibrant and unique.put on stilts on top of a kiln washed cookie.
