Ancient Copper and Satin Oribe Combo by Jayne Hemphill

Handcrafted Ceramic Vase in Ancient Copper and Satin Oribe Glazes

This handcrafted ceramic vase by Jayne Hemphill features a timeless round, bulbous form with a subtly flared neck. Thrown in white stoneware, the piece is thoughtfully glazed to highlight the rich interaction between Ancient Copper and Satin Oribe.

The upper portion of the vase showcases a deep, lustrous Ancient Copper glaze, transitioning organically into a greenish-blue Satin Oribe glaze on the lower section. At the point where the two glazes meet, a soft white band creates a striking, snow-like drip effect that adds movement and visual interest. The glossy, slightly iridescent surface enhances the depth and complexity of the glaze combination, making this vase a distinctive and eye-catching ceramic artwork.

Both decorative and functional, this piece works beautifully as a standalone art object or as a vessel for floral arrangements.
