Applied over Bmix clay and fired to Cone 6 with a 5-minute hold, the glazes reveal soft, translucent colors with a distinct crystalline surface. Megan tested three Kiln Ice shades: pink, yellow, and green. One test piece was coated over a dark engobe, which slightly affected the color tone and surface response. Despite some minor pinholing on the pink and yellow samples—likely due to applying five thick coats—the overall results were smooth and visually pleasing. Each piece showcases the signature cracked glaze effect of Kiln Ice, catching the light and enhancing the gentle color variations. These glazes are perfect for subtle, elegant surfaces with a hint of texture. Share to Facebook Combos Vase AMACOBmixCone 6Kiln Ice
