The piece is made from white stoneware and finished with two coats of Spectrum Pearl White as the base glaze. Two coats of AMACO River Birch were applied for additional movement, dots of AMACO Smokey Merlot and Mayco Teal Next Time (S&C). The piece was fired to Cone 6, resulting in a controlled flow and interaction of glazes characteristic of the peacock effect – soft pooling, subtle color transitions, and distinctive circular patterning across the surface Clay body: White stoneware Spectrum Pearl White x2 dots of Mayco Teal Next Time x2 dots of AMACO Smokey Merlot x2 AMACO River Birch x2 Fired to Cone 6 Bowls Combos Plates AMACOCone 6Leigh-Ann NausMAYCOPeacockPeacock techniquePearl WhitePre-fireRiver BirchSmokey MerlotSPECTRUMStroke & CoatWhite stoneware
