Ocean Blue Mug by Leigh-Ann Naus

The Ocean Blue Mug by Leigh-Ann Naus is made from white stoneware and finished with a glossy blue and white gradient glaze. The blue is concentrated near the rim and gradually fades into white toward the base, with a slightly speckled surface texture. The unglazed base provides a natural contrast to the smooth glaze. The mug has three coats of AMACO Snow on the bottom third, three coats of AMACO Storm on the top two-thirds, and three additional coats of AMACO Snow over Storm. A thin coat of MAYCO Light Flux is applied where Storm and Snow meet. The mug is fired to Cone 6 with a 10-minute hold.

• Clay body: White stoneware
• AMACO Snow x3 – bottom 1/3
• Followed by AMACO Storm x3 top 2/3
• AMACO Snow x3 over Storm
• Thin coat of MAYCO Light Flux where Storm and Snow meet
• Fired to Cone 6 with 10 min hold
