Fired to Cone 6, the mugs begin with a AMACO Matte Black (SM-1) base, followed by Iron Lustre x3 and Seaweed x2, with Oatmeal x2 applied around the rim. As the glazes melt and interact during firing, bands of gold, amber, green, blue, and deep charcoal emerge across the surface, creating a horizon-like transition from rim to foot.
