The Northern Lights Combination by Lina Gustafsson brings together four AMACO glazes on white stoneware to create a surface filled with movement and color. Blue Midnight, Smokey Merlot, and Textured Turquoise are applied in broad overlapping areas, while a coat of Oatmeal softens the transitions and ties the palette together. Fired to Cone 6, the glazes mingle across the bowl in flowing bands of blue, violet, and turquoise that shift with every curve of the form.

Like the changing colors of the northern sky, this glaze combination reveals new details as light moves across the surface. Pools of deep blue gather beside soft turquoise passages, while Smokey Merlot introduces hints of plum and burgundy that enrich the composition. The result is a balanced Cone 6 glaze combination that demonstrates how layered commercial glazes can create depth, variation, and a sense of natural movement on functional stoneware.
