This handmade stoneware mug by Stefanie Montana showcases a stunning, layered glaze combination inspired by Santorini island tones.

The clay body is B-Mix, a smooth, light stoneware that enhances the clarity of the glazes.

The result is of this glazing a striking gradient effect – creamy whites fading into vivid blues with a dynamic, fluid drip pattern reminiscent of ocean waves meeting sandy shores. The glaze is noted to be a “runner,” meaning it flows generously during firing, creating organic, unpredictable textures.

The mug was fired to Cone 5, achieving a durable, glossy finish suitable for functional use. Its smooth, rounded form and comfortable handle make it as practical as it is visually captivating – a perfect example of Stefanie Montana’s elegant balance between artistry and craftsmanship.
