Decided to give Kathy McGuire\u2019s Frozen Pond technique a try on my ceramic Frozen Pond Cabochons cabochons to great success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glaze details embedded in pictures in comments (RHC in between the glazes listed). Sort by \u2018most relevant\u2019 and these comments should move to the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edited to add responses to some of the questions received in the comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per <\/a>Kathy\u2019s technique, the first glaze is the base (all over), dots with RHC, and last glaze in top all over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White clay, bisqued prior to glazing and fired at Cone 5, no hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backs are not glazed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obs = Obsidian<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RHC = Running Hot Chowder (Spectrum)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SM = Smokey Merlot<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IF = Indigo Float<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IR = Iron Lustre<\/p>\n\n\n\n
