Bright tumbler by Sherry Kirk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This striking tumbler by Sherry Kirk<\/strong> features a complex, layered glaze combo using AMACO River Rock<\/strong>, Oatmeal<\/strong> and Ancient Jasper<\/strong>. The result is a bold surface with rich colors and flowing texture, enhanced by controlled layering and glaze overlap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base glaze, River Rock<\/strong> (applied twice), forms the dark, textured backdrop, full of earthy, stone-like qualities. A wide band of Oatmeal<\/strong> is added about half an inch above the base, offering a creamy yellow tone that creates a stunning contrast when overlapped with Ancient Jasper<\/strong>. The Ancient Jasper<\/strong> brings deep, warm reds and golden browns, flowing down and blending beautifully with the Oatmeal and River Rock underneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To finish, another band of Oatmeal<\/strong> is layered on top, softening the transition and adding light-catching highlights. The piece is fired to Cone 5 with a 10-minute hold<\/strong>, enhancing glaze movement and interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This glaze combo gives the tumbler a dynamic, almost lava-like appearance\u2014vibrant, textural, and full of handcrafted energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
