Please find below four beautiful examples of Spectrum Bougainvillea<\/a>, created by three different artists. This stunning pink glaze – Spectrum Floating Bougainvillea<\/em> (No. 1446)- is loved for its rich, blooming color and soft, flowing transitions. When given enough heatwork and a gentle cool-down, it develops luminous pinks and purples that make every piece look vibrant and alive. Here we see it both on its own and paired with two other Spectrum glazes – Running Hot Chowder and Pearl White<\/a> – which add depth, contrast, and beautiful rim effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four Tumblers by Debra Cake<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Debra was delighted when she opened her kiln today. She had been struggling with pinholing in her Spectrum glazes for a while. To help fix the issue, she changed her firing schedule: she fired the kiln to 2200\u00b0F (1204\u00b0C)<\/strong> with a 5-minute hold, then lowered it to 2100\u00b0F (1149\u00b0C)<\/strong> with a 30-minute hold, and finally let it cool naturally. When she later tried an even slower cool-down, it made a noticeable difference in the colors. The results were exactly what she had hoped for, and she thanked Ian for the helpful advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The set includes two tumblers glazed in Bougainvillea and two in Bougainvillea with Pearl White on the rim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
