Frozen Pond <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This stoneware bowl by Amy Hamson was glazed using the Frozen Pond technique<\/a><\/strong>, which creates a layered surface reminiscent of ice or frost. The rim features deep raspberry tones that gradually blend into a cool bluish interior with a soft, semi-crystalline texture. As the glazes melt and interact during firing, they form rounded, cell-like patterns that resemble frozen bubbles beneath the surface of a pond. The glossy finish enhances the effect, shifting subtly in color from red to violet to blue-gray, depending on the light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
