In this project, Michelle L Kendrick explores how AMACO Celadon (Series C) glazes interact when mixed — using Tangelo, Marigold, Snow, Mixing Clear, Acqua, Rainforest, and Cobalt to create a subtle spectrum of new shades. Test tiles fired to cone 6 on porcelain reveal both pure colors and smooth transitions between them, offering a clean visual map of how these celadons behave in combination.

Barb Johnson’s handbuilt porcelain turtles are each crafted from nine pieces and finished with Duncan Mother of Pearl on the shell and Amaco Ancient Copper on the appendages. This series of twenty-one turtles showcases the rich variety of Celadon glazes, from soft pastels to deep, vibrant tones, highlighting the interplay of iridescence and earthy texture
