January 2, 2024August 11, 2025 AMACO Albany Slip Brown and Snow Combo Candle bowl by Kim Ann This small candle bowl by Kim Ann is made from buff stoneware clay and features a glazing combination of AMACO Albany Slip Brown and Snow. The Albany Slip Brown glaze was applied in three layers, giving the piece a rich, earthy brown tone with depth and warmth. It highlights the textured designs on the bowl’s exterior, bringing out intricate, botanical-like patterns with a natural, rustic charm. The AMACO Snow glaze was applied once as a “good glob” along the rim. This white glaze melts down slightly into the Albany Slip Brown, creating a soft, buttery effect at the top that contrasts beautifully with the warm brown body. The combination produces a flowing, organic transition from light to dark, enhancing both the tactile and visual interest of the bowl. The result is a warm, inviting, and visually dynamic glaze finish that perfectly complements the handcrafted texture of the piece Clay: Buff stoneware AMACO Albany slip Brown 3x AMACO Snow 1x good glob on the rim Credit: Kim Ann Tumblers Bowls Albany Slip BrownAMACODark Buff ClaySnow
