January 5, 2025May 19, 2025 Frozen Pond Cabochons by Kristina Dam Chadwick Decided to give Kathy McGuire’s Frozen Pond technique a try on my ceramic Frozen Pond Cabochons cabochons to great success! Glaze details embedded in pictures in comments (RHC in between the glazes listed). Sort by ‘most relevant’ and these comments should move to the top. Edited to add responses to some of the questions received in the comments: Per Kathy’s technique, the first glaze is the base (all over), dots with RHC, and last glaze in top all over. White clay, bisqued prior to glazing and fired at Cone 5, no hold. Backs are not glazed. Obs = Obsidian RHC = Running Hot Chowder (Spectrum) SM = Smokey Merlot IF = Indigo Float IR = Iron Lustre Credit: Kristina Dam Chadwick Combos Cabochons Jewellery Cone 5Frozen pondIndigo floatIron LustreObsidianRHCRunning Hot ChowderSmokey Merlot
