AMACO’s Toasted Sage over Honey Flux Toasted Sage over Honey Flux is a ceramic glaze combination made by Amaco. It refers to layering two Amaco Potter’s Choice glazes before glaze firing in following way: Honey Flux is applied first as the base layer. It is a very fluid glaze that melts and moves during firing Toasted Sage is applied on top. It is a soft, earthy sage-green glaze. When fired (usually at cone 5-6), the Honey Flux melts and reacts with the Toasted Sage, creating variation, depth, and organic movement. The finished surface often shows muted blues, greens, olive tones, and subtle pooling or breaking. This AAMACO glaze combination is popular because it is dependable, easy to use, and produces attractive results on functional pottery such as mugs, bowls, and plates.
