Northern Lights Combo Mug by Bibi Lene Bruun Andersen

This wonderful mug by Bibi Lene Bruun Andersen became the very first item in my collection. It captured my attention so much that I placed it first on my brand new page. A year has passed since then, and the collection has grown, but my admiration remains the same.

What struck me most was the very idea that, in a home environment, without being a professional in the field of arts, it’s possible to create something so beautiful and professional. This moment sparked my passion for porcelain, and since then, I’ve been completely captivated by it.

This mug features a stunning glaze that mimics the appearance of the Northern Lights, with deep shades of blue, violet, and hints of indigo blending together. The top half transitions from a rich navy blue into a speckled pattern, evoking a starry night sky. Further down, lighter purples and blues swirl into each other, resembling the vibrant, ethereal streaks seen in aurora displays. The reflective surface adds depth and texture, making it feel like you’re holding a piece of the night sky
