This handcrafted black and copper teapot teapot by Dan Osorio highlights the Ancient Copper, Oatmeal and Obsidian combo, blending warm copper tones with deep black gloss. Made with Laguna’s B-mix clay body, its form is both sturdy and elegant, with a rounded belly and a gracefully arched handle. Multiple layers of AMACO Ancient Copper overlap with AMACO Obsidian at the rim and foot, producing a smooth gradient where glowing reds dissolve into a sleek, glassy black.

A delicate streak of AMACO Oatmeal runs where Ancient Copper and Obsidian meet, softening the transition with a lighter, almost glowing edge. Fired to Cone 6, the glazes reveal their depth and character, making every angle of the piece catch the light. Functional yet artistic, this teapot captures the beauty of contrast — the burnished glow of copper meeting the depth of obsidian, accented with just a touch of warmth from oatmeal glaze.
