Cone 6 Coyote glazes Ocean Combo by Sharon Galbraith 

The Coyote glazes ocean combo by Sharon Galbraith brings together layered blues and mineral textures that recall tidal pools and shifting shorelines. Working on Little Loafers clay, the surface develops depth through variation – each firing reveals subtle movement, from pale foam-like edges to deeper currents of blue. The combination is both controlled and organic, shaped by glaze interaction and firing rhythm.

Glaze combination and materials

This piece uses a curated mix of Coyote glazes: Coyote Sky Blue Celadon, Coyote Fern, Coyote Sea Mist, and Coyote Marshmallow. Each glaze contributes a distinct layer – celadon for translucency, fern for earthy undertones, sea mist for soft diffusion, and marshmallow for breaking highlights. Fired to cone 6 with a slow cooling cycle of 130°F per hour down to 1200°, the glazes settle into a balanced surface where edges soften and tones deepen.
