This nature-inspired glaze combination feels like a quiet walk through a birch forest at dusk, created entirely with MAYCO glazes.

The MAYCO Birch glaze underneath sets the scene with soft, pale tones and organic speckling that echo tree bark, lichen, and weathered wood. Layered over it, MAYCO Cordovan breaks and pools into earthy browns, mossy greens, and iron-rich warmth, adding depth and visual movement—like forest shadows settling over the landscape.

Where the glazes interact, they create natural transitions, texture, and variegation, shifting between rough and smooth with an intentionally organic feel. The MAYCO Oatmeal on the rim provides a calm, creamy frame that balances the more active surface below and ties the palette together.

Altogether, this all-MAYCO glaze combination evokes woodland textures, bark, stone, and soil, making it especially well suited for functional pottery that feels grounded, tactile, and connected to the natural world.
