The AMACO Kiln Ice on Sio-2 Toffe combination by Sabine Servos highlights the quiet beauty of crackle glaze on warm-toned stoneware. Applied over Sio-2 Toffe clay and fired with a carefully controlled schedule, AMACO Kiln Ice develops a network of fine cracks across the surface, creating a pattern similar to frozen ponds at the end of winter. The pale blue glaze settles evenly over the clay while the exposed edges reveal touches of the rich caramel body beneath, framing the cool surface with natural contrast.

What makes this combination memorable is the conversation between glaze and clay.
